Members of the Mesopotamian Workers' Association have been on hunger strike for 32 days. The 17th group took over the action this week.

The hunger strike, which is carried out by different groups for a certain number of days, was taken over by the members of Tevgera Azadi Council Kirkuk Region.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Tevgera Azadi Council Member Hosyar Hemezêr said: “We condemn the silence of human rights organizations on the isolation imposed on leader Apo. Everyone has to fight against isolation.”

Hewlêr

The hunger strike led by the HDP Hewlêr Representation continues on its 55th day. The 28th group took over the hunger strike with a press conference today.

HDP Başûrê Kurdistan Representation co-chair, Müzeyen Gunes, said that the meeting between Öcalan and his brother was an important event in this process, but added: “We will continue our action until isolation is lifted and Öcalan is allowed to meet with his lawyers.”

On the other hand, HDP Member Nasir Yagiz, has reached day 55 of his death fast.

Maxmur Camp: Until isolation is lifted…

A delegation from the Martyr Rustem Cudi (Maxmur) Refugee Camp visited the hunger strike in Hewlêr and supported their action.

Ferhan Didêri, who made a statement on behalf of the Maxmur delegation, said: “Great actions are being carried out to end the isolation on Leader Apo in both Kurdistan and Europe. Everyone needs to play their part until isolation is lifted. The news of a meeting between Leader Apo and his brother was very important, but our actions will go on until isolation is totally lifted.”
