The demolition of houses in the Cudi and Nur neighborhoods of Şırnak’s Cizre district, which was implemented as part of the Cabinet’s "urgent expropriation" decree for the district after the genocidal attacks of state forces, has been stopped.
Cizîr People’s Assembly Co-President Mehmet Tunç’s father Ahmet Tunç, Latife Tutuş and Abdulrezzak Tül had objected to the Mardin Regional Administrative Court, which later decided to stop the demolition of neighborhoods in Cizre.
Mardin Regional Administrative Court had received a similar objection regarding the İdil district, and the 10 days long delay in stopping the demolition in Cizre received criticism from the public.
