On Saturday, three people were seriously injured by gunfire near Mariwan. Iranian border guards fired shotguns at the moving vehicle of a civilian, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) reported.
According to the report, the vehicle was traveling near the village of Darakî, about 40 kilometers south of Mariwan. Three civilians named Aryan Keremi, Gulale Muhammedi and Mahmud Keremi, are said to have suffered serious injuries.
According to the KHRN, all three victims were taken to a hospital in Mariwan. Their condition is said to be life-threatening. A resident of the region wrote on X that the soldiers had left the scene after the incident.
