YPG Media Center issued a written statement on the attacks of ISIS gangs across Rojava. YPG stated that the ISIS assault on Şedadê's Mekmen village has been continuing without a pause since April 1. Furthermore, the gangs attacked the Girê Sor region to the south of Jarablus and Kobanê's Şêxler town at 06:00 on April 2. YPG reported that two of its Asayish forces were martyred during this attack, and the number of ISIS casualties has not yet been determined. One Katyusha rocket ramp was destroyed during the YPG counter-operation at 15:10 on the same day.

YPG Media Center noted that ISIS gangs carried out two separate attacks with heavy weaponry on the area to the east of Kobanê's Tişrîn dam at 14:00 and 14:40 on April 2.

ATTACKS ON ŞÊX MEQSUD CONTINUE

In its statement, YPG Media Center said that Lîwaa Sultan Murad, Ahrar Al-Sham, the 16th Division, Lîwaa Al-Fetih, Ceyş Al-Mucahidîn, Kombûna Festeqim Kema Emert ve Nûreddîn Zenkî gangs continue their attacks on Aleppo’s Şêx Meqsud neighborhood. YPG stated that the gangs bombarded the Seken Şebab, Mekteb Eqtar and Eşrefiye areas of Şêx Meqsud on April 2, and killed many civilians including children. The Media Center announced that YPG quickly responded to these attacks and killed 1 gang in Seken Şebab and 2 gangs in Mekteb Eqtar. Lastly, YPG noted that 1 YPG fighter lost his life during yesterday’s attacks on Şêx Meqsud.
