As the operation to liberate Manbij continues, ISIS gangs pushed into a tight corner at the hands of Manbij fighters are increasing their cruelty as they remain desperate to hold the city in their hands.

Intolerant towards the flight of civilians they hold captive, gangs are opening fire on civilians who try to flee through the safe corridor opened by Manbij fighters, and they are targeting women in the first place.

On the arrival of freedom fighters in Al-Allaven neighborhood yesterday morning, residents packed their stuff and tried to flee the neighborhood, upon which they were targeted by ISIS gangs with bullets. A woman named Um Ahmet and her son got injured in the attack. The woman and her son later took shelter in their house and they were treated by freedom fighters.

Um Ahmet's husband Hüseyin told that they were happy to see the arrival of freedom fighters for getting a chance to be rescued. He said his wife and son were shot by an ISIS member soon after they went out to flee.

ISIS gangs have been targeting civilians in recent days after Manbij fighters entered the city which remained under ISIS occupation for the past 2,5 years.
