ISIS ringleader captured in Raqqa countryside

Special Military Operation Teams (TOL) of the SDF captured an ISIS ringleader during an operation in the countryside of Raqqa.

The Press Liaison Centre of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Thursday that a ringleader of ISIS was arrested as a result of an operation in the Raqqa countryside.

The statement said: "The operation was launched after gathering sufficient information about the movements and activities of the terrorist Ayman Abdulmuti. Our forces reached the terrorist's location and captured him. Ayman Abdulmuti is known as the first military commander of the ISIS terrorist organisation in Raqqa and also the planner of all terrorist acts. The terrorist was also acting under the names of Yaqûb al-Khaddidi and Ûsama al-Qureşî."

According to the statement, 4 mobile phones, personal documents of the captured terrorist, 3 AK47 (Kalashnikov) rifles, 6 magazines and 3 thousand bullets, 4 handmade mines, 3 suicide vests, 50 pistol bullets (9 mm) were seized during the operation.
