‘It is the moral duty of every Kurd to defend the gains of Kurdistan’

Political observer Mihemed Nesredin from Kirkuk reacted to the KDP's cooperation with the Turkish state, saying, “Those who act together with the Turkish army today will take a hit and they will also lose their position and power in Kurdistan.”

Political observer Mihemed Nesredin from Kirkuk spoke to ANF about the purpose of Masrour Barzani's visit to Turkey, the oil and gas supply from the Kurdistan Region to Turkey and the recent attacks of the occupying Turkish army.

Nesredin pointed out that Kurdistan Region’s PM Masrour Barzani's visit to Turkey concerned two issues. “The first is the Kurdistan gas, the second is the Kurdistan territory. Both issues are about the security and safety of the Kurdish nation. One of them is related to the wealth of Kurdistan. The other pertains to encouraging Turkey to enter Kurdistan territory, which has been repeated myriad times previously.”

Nesredin noted that collaborators and betrayers have always been condemned in the history of Kurdistan. “It is a shame to make the gains of the Kurdistan region available to the enemy and cooperate with them. Currently, there has been a war for energy resources in the world. All states are trying to protect their countries' lands and resources. It is the moral duty of every Kurdish individual to defend the gains of Kurdistan. Those respected by the Kurdish people should also stay away from cooperating with the enemy. We can promote the achievements of Kurdistan by establishing a national unity,” he said.

UNITY IS THE ONLY WAY TO PROTECT KURDISH ACHIEVEMENTS

“Making the resources of Kurdistan available to the enemy and encouraging them to invade Kurdistan will hurt the KDP the most. History has no pity on anyone. Those who act together with the Turkish army today will take a hit and they will also lose their position and power in Kurdistan,” Nesredin stated.

Nesredin also commented on the latest meeting between Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and Masrour Barzani, saying, “Other countries will respect you when you work to protect your citizens, land and country’s gains. However, when you offer the country's gains and lands, you will be welcomed without diplomatic protocol as in Turkey. If the attacks on Kurdistan escalate, the Kurdish people will have nothing to protect. The only way to protect our gains is to maintain national unity and stay away from the enemy.”

KURDISTAN IS BEING INVADED FOR ITS GAS AND OIL

Nesredin stated that Kurdish enemies are encouraged under the pretext of an independent economy and oil sales, which brings damage to the Kurdish national cause. “Oil sales have dealt a blow to the people of Kurdistan. The enemy is taking advantage of the oil and gas of the Kurdistan Region and is showing off military strength to invade Kurdistan lands. Kurdistan's oil and gas are for the protection of the people's gains. Oil and gas should not be used to bolster and serve Kurdistan’s enemies.”
