The anniversary of 15 August 1984, the beginning of the armed resistance, was celebrated on the foothills of Qandil.
The celebration started with a minute's silence in memory of the martyrs of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement. The event was organized by the Kurdistan Free Women's Movement RJAK.
Viyar Argeş read the 15 August statement at Qandil cemetery. The statement said that the 15 August initiative was a breakthrough that dealt a heavy blow to the fascist mentality that found its existence in the massacre of the Kurdish people.
After the ceremomy at the graveyard, people gathered in the village of Bokristan.
