Thanks to the collaboration of the KDP, the Turkish state has reached a new level in its occupation plan for South Kurdistan. This is what Hîvron Razmûhî, member of the General Council of the United Revolutionary Movement of Women (KBDH), said.
Razmûhî is one of the commanders at the "Hüseyin Demircioğlu" academy in the Kurdish mountains and spoke to ANF about developments in South Kurdistan. She referred to the bases that the Turkish state established in the region, the bases for Turkish killer drones, the informer networks set up by the Turkish secret service and the economic and political embargo against villages. These are some of the visible results of the collaboration between the KDP and the Turkish state. However, the dimension of this collaboration is much wider.
Hîvron Razmûhî underlined that the people in Maxmur refugee camp are fighting a struggle for survival and that numerous civilians have been killed in Turkish air strikes. Villages have been burned and depopulated. This bloody record of the cooperation between the Turkish state and the KDP can get even worse, Razmûhî said referring to the violent escalation of the past few days.
It is an alliance resulting in Kurdish blood being shed. Ramuhî added: “The KDP does not pay the Kurdish workers their salaries and lets them starve. At the same time, it reserves a budget from the Kurdistan Region for the stationing of the Turkish occupation troops. The oil from the region is sent to Turkey to feed the colonialists."
The Kurdish liberation movement tried for a long time to prevent an armed conflict in South Kurdistan. It has repeatedly called for dialogue and pointed out the great dangers a civil war would mean for all of Kurdistan. “However, the KDP is blindly determined to continue its cooperation with the anti-Kurdish Turkish state. It clearly signals that it wants to wage war against the guerrillas. The guerrilla stands for the dignity of the Kurdish people and is the guarantee for the liberation struggle” said Hîvron Razmûhî.
The KBDH commander also underlined the misogynistic dimension of this collaboration, which is based on the way of thinking of patriarchal rule: “The Kurdish women do not accept that. It will be the fighting women who will thwart these dirty plans. We declare loud and clear that we will defend our gender identity, our free lives and our mountains. On every path and every summit of these mountains are the traces of our fallen comrades. We will protect our positions because we stand for liberation and a new life."
Regarding the campaign “End fascism, gain freedom”, launched by the “United Revolutionary Movement”, Hîvron Razmûhî said: “The fascist alliance of AKP, MHP and Ergenekon threatens not only North Kurdistan and Turkey, but the peoples of the entire region. A look at the political and military developments as a whole shows that our campaign is taking place at the right time. Our demands are clear and binding. Not only the Kurds need freedom, this also applies to the working people, the various religious communities and the LGBTI +. Our offensive includes all oppressed population groups. All political and social groups that want freedom should support the campaign. The workers, women and revolutionary forces in Turkey are resisting. The Kurdish people are resisting. We have to unite our forces against fascism. There is something for everyone to do, it just takes will and organization."
