KCDK-E: The KDP should abandon its disgraceful attitude
KCDK-E condemns the KDP, the ruling party in South Kurdistan, for siding with the genocidal and invading Turkish state, but not the Kurdish freedom struggle.
KCDK-E condemns the KDP, the ruling party in South Kurdistan, for siding with the genocidal and invading Turkish state, but not the Kurdish freedom struggle.
Ali Avni, member of the Central Committee of the Barzani-dominated KDP (Kurdistan Democratic Party) in South Kurdistan, openly called on the Turkish state to murder leading PKK members during a recent TV appearance on a Barzani family channel. Elî Ewnî explained that the Turkish army and MIT are capable of targeting people with drones and questioned why the PKK leadership is not being eliminated with drones.
Avni said: “I say it to the leaders of the Turkish state. You can use drones, the airway and by means of the Internet to locate the members of the PKK in the tens of thousands of cars going to Ahmedawa and bomb them. Don't you know the leaders and vanguards of the PKK who come and go to Turkey through Ranya, Derbindaxan, Qeladizê and Bradost?"
The Kurdish Democratic Societies Congress in Europe (KCDK-E) released a statement denouncing the remarks of the KDP official, which, it said, legitimize the treacherous attitude of his party.
“The KDP, which has nothing to do with the cause of Kurdistan and the Kurdish people and relies on the Turkish state for its fate and everything else, pursues an enemy policy. Adding riches to its richness, the KDP does not avoid marketing the values of the Kurdish people for the sake of his tribe,” said the KCDK-E statement on Sunday.
KCDK-E pointed out that the KDP persists in betrayal by maintaining its cooperation with the Turkish state, adding: “This is the cause of the presence of over 100 Turkish military bases and MIT (Turkish intelligence headquarters) in South Kurdistan.”
The statement pointed out that: “It is treason to back the Turkish state and its bloody-minded army that is focused on annihilating the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla. KDP’s Avni is disturbed by the presence of the Kurdish freedom movement but not that of the invading Turkish army which has been operating military bases in Kurdistan for dozens of years. The occupation attacks have spread all over Kurdistan because of the KDP’s treacherous stand. MIT and murderous gangs run wild from Duhok to Hewler (Erbil) and Sulaymaniyah.”
The KCDK-E statement concluded with a call upon the KDP to declare openly that it stands with the Kurdish people but not the genocidal Turkish state, and to abandon this disgraceful attitude immediately.
