Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) sent a message to the Newroz celebrations in Binare Qandil with thousands of attendants. The message was read by KCK Executive Council Member Diyar Xerib.

Diyar Xerib said they salute Leyla Guven, Nasir Yagiz, Herem Mehmud, Seyma Ednan and all other resisters, and continued: “The protests by Leyla Guven and friends in prisons are the breaking of fascism.”

On Zulkuf Gezen, Xerib said: “The action by comrade Zulkuf Gezen was like Comrade Mazlum’s action. This action will take us to victory.”

On the Turkish state jets attacking Qandil yesterday, Diyar Xerib said: “Yesterday’s bombing was geared towards intimidating the people. The enemy did this so the people wouldn’t celebrate in Qandil. But with your attendance, enthusiasm and joy you responded to the enemy. We welcome you all. Newroz is the day of resistance. Erdogan is the Dehak of this age, and Kurds display the resistance of the age. That is why they attack the Kurds so much.”

Xerib concluded with: “This Newroz is the celebration of ISIS’s defeat. The Sidekan action is the political defeat of ISIS and the AKP. This is the spring of freedom. We will defeat invaders with the spirit of resistance of Sheladiz.”
