Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) has sent a message to the PYD Congress which was read out after the opening speeches of the party’s co-chairs Asya Abdullah and Saleh Moslem.
KCK said in its message that building of a democratic Syria could only be ensured by the power of the Rojava Revolution which would determine the new balances in the Middle East. KCK pointed out that the forces fighting against the democratisation of Syria tried to overwhelm the Rojava Revolution through the ISIS gangs.
Remarking that self-defense and the own forces of defense was the most basic reference of a democratic and free life, KCK stressed that; “Leaving oneself defenseless with expectations from others counts to defeat. A protection of the existing gains cannot be made possible without developing resistance.”
Drawing attention to the importance of the organisation of mainly women and youths in Rojava Revolution, KCK said PYD held responsibility for representing women and setting democratic examples in the Middle East and the world. It added that youths must be organized in the best way possible and their role must be defended as well.
“PYD must get organised very well by strengthening and extending its democratic system. It must ensure a strong organisation of all its cadres, workers and labourers under the umbrella of TEV-DEM”, said the message.
KCK said Rojava Revolution could become a sample model for the building of a democratic society and free individual in the Middle East within a short time if the aforementioned points were accomplished. It added that PYD must enhance its struggle further on this basis.
Also touching upon the matter of migration from Rojava, KCK said the migration in question was being planned, encouraged and organized by capitalist forces.
The message by KCK underlined that; “Rojava Revolution has the capacity to produce a solution to all kinds of matters, including economic problems. Without expecting an external support, it must be based on waging a struggle with its own gains, own means and power.”
