KCK Executive Council Co-Presidency said in a written statement that "KCK Executive Council Member Evin (Emine Kara), who took part in the direction of our movement, and our two patriots, Mir Perwer and Abdurrahman Kızıl, were martyred in the massacre that took place in Paris on 23 December 2022. We commemorate all martyrs of revolution and democracy with respect and gratitude in the person of these friends, and we reiterate our promise of success and victory to the martyrs."
The statement continued: "Our comrade Evin joined the freedom movement in 1988 and has been fighting for the freedom of the people of Kurdistan since then. She took part and fought in many areas of the struggle against the genocidal colonial enemy and devoted her entire existence and life to the struggle. She is also a pioneer of women's struggle. She has made great contributions and efforts in the development of the free women's line and in women's gaining consciousness and willpower. She worked greatly for the army of women and undertook important duties."
Comrade Evin played an important role in the war against ISIS
The KCK statement added: "Our comrade Evîn has also contributed greatly to the development of the Rojava Revolution. By taking part in the war against ISIS and playing a decisive role in the defeat of ISIS, she has rendered a great service not only to the Kurdish people, but also to all humanity. She fought against ISIS brutality and reaction on the basis of the free women's line and was successful in her struggle. As a woman, she experienced the honor of fighting against the reactionary and misogynist ISIS and defeating ISIS, and she did it for all of us. Undoubtedly, comrade Evîn took her consciousness, strength and determination from Leader Apo's line based on women's freedom, her loyalty to the people of Kurdistan, and her love and belief in the free women's line.
Comrade Evîn was injured in the war against ISIS and went to Europe for treatment. While she was in Europe, she continued her struggle there as well. She has always struggled from the moment she joined the ranks of freedom to the moment she fell a martyr. The people of Kurdistan and women know Comrade Evîn very well, and with this awareness, they will take on her struggle after her death. It was very meaningful that the Kurdish people flowed to Paris to salute our three martyrs."
It is clear that the main target in this attack was comrade Evîn
The statement said: "It is clear that comrade Evîn was the main target in this attack. The genocidal, colonialist Turkish state and the fascist AKP-MHP government are trying to save ISIS and make the ISIS line dominate again by suppressing the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle and targeting the leaders of the freedom struggle. It is clear that the AKP-MHP has the same mentality of ISIS, and goes beyond being its supporter. It has been leading and directing ISIS from the very beginning, and this fact is known by everyone. Comrade Evin was also targeted and killed by the AKP-MHP and MIT because she fought against ISIS and played a decisive role in the defeat of ISIS. The people of Kurdistan and their friends knew this. However, until now, the approach of the French state and the relevant authorities has not been one of addressing and responding to our and our people's concerns. Unfortunately, the approach of the French state tends to minimize the massacre, cover it up and present it as an isolated attack. By presenting this massacre as an individual, racist attack, it should not engage in a deliberate manipulation that conceals the truth. Such an approach was adopted in the Paris massacre that took place on January 9, 2013, and therefore, although it is very clear that the responsible for that massacre was the Turkish state and MIT, the facts were not revealed by the French state. If this approach is continued now, it will openly mean supporting the Kurdish genocidal policies, protecting AKP-MHP fascism and ISIS. There is no other point in taking such an attitude when someone who has fought against ISIS is targeted by the supporter of ISIS, i.e. the Turkish state."
Our people and our friends should keep their reaction on a democratic basis
The statement said: "The French state and government have to deal with these two massacres in Paris correctly and reveal the truth. As with the January 9 massacre, this massacre was carried out in a planned manner. Behind this is definitely the fascist AKP-MHP government, the MIT and other intelligence forces that support the Turkish state. It is unacceptable not to see this situation and not to make an effort to reveal it. We once again call on the French state and government to take the right approach to exposing the truth. This massacre was carried out by the fascist AKP-MHP government.
The people of Kurdistan and their friends have taken the right stance by expressing their strong reaction against this massacre. However, these actions should not be mixed with violence, and behaviours that will constitute a basis for provocations should be avoided. Our people and our friends should take care to keep their reaction on a democratic basis."
