The Foreign Relations Committee of the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) released a statement warning against “new provocations of the fascist Turkish Republic and its mafia-terrorist government left before the May 14 elections, which constitutes an important turning point in the future of the country and the region.”
The statement released by the KCK Foreign Relations Committee on Thursday includes the following:
“The peoples of Turkey have entered the final stage of an election phase that is very important for their future. We therefore call on the public in Turkey and the regional and international powers to be sensitive towards possible provocations of the fascist Turkish state and its mafia-terrorist government. This is important since there is little time left before the May 14 elections, which constitutes an important turning point in the future of the country and the region.
Threatened with a major defeat in the elections on May 14, the AKP-MHP mafia-terrorist government has shown everyone that it will not hesitate to resort to all kinds of dirty methods with the terrorist attack it carried out recently on the international airport of Sulaymaniyah. It has tried to cover up its despicable attack and international terrorist crime and to justify it with alleged activities of our movement at Sulaymaniyah airport and in the city. Mevlut Cavusoglu, the foreign minister of the mafia-terrorist government, shamelessly made statements on TV that constitute lies and have absolutely no connection with the truth. He stated that we, as the Freedom Movement, control the city of Sulaymaniyah and its airport. We would like to state clearly to our dear people and the international public that all these statements made by the Turkish state about Sulaymaniyah and its airport are lies. The PKK is neither active nor present there. The actual issue is the discomfort of the Turkish state with the joint struggle of the PUK, SDF and International Coalition against ISIS. The KDP policy and administration provide the ground for the fascist mentality led by the Erdoğan-Bahçeli clique to put forward such arguments.
In recent years, many of our patriots and a number of our friends in and around Sulaymaniyah have been martyred as a result of attacks by the terrorist organization MIT. In all of these attacks, the killers came from Hewler and returned there. In all these attacks, the MIT-PARASTIN cooperation and partnership has been clearly proven. The cities of Hewler and Duhok have literally become headquarters of the terrorist organization MIT. The most recent example of this criminal partnership is the murder of the North Kurdish patriot Hüseyin Türeli in the city center of Duhok on April 17. Hüseyin Türeli was a Kurdish patriot who had fled to South Kurdistan nearly ten years ago because he was to be arrested by the fascist Turkish Republic. He had settled in South Kurdistan and worked there as a shop owner. The public is now wondering how the KDP, which has justified the attacks in Sulaymaniyah with the alleged presence of our movement there, will explain this latest murder, and what the KDP’s response will be to the fact that the cities where it is in power have become a shelter for murderers of Kurds.
While Hüseyin Türeli’s blood on the ground has not yet dried, the KDP media, which is under the control of MIT, has made intense efforts to blame this attack on our movement. We would like to condemn the dastardly murder of the patriot Hüseyin Türeli and offer our condolences to his family and our patriotic people. With regards to martyr Hüseyin Türeli, we would like to state once again that all our martyrs will be avenged.
On the occasion of this latest attack and taking into account information we have received from important sources, we would like to warn everyone about new provocations of the fascist Turkish Republic and its mafia-terrorist government.
We know that the mafia-terrorist government of the fascist, colonialist state, which finds itself in a comprehensive deadlock, trembling with the fear of defeat and loss, wants to destabilize the region and confront our movement with the dynamics of the region by carrying out explosions, attacks and assassinations in Iraq, Syria, Rojava and South Kurdistan. In this context, especially the authorities and people of Iraq and South Kurdistan need to be sensitive towards the games of the mafia-terrorist government of the Turkish Republic.
Taking into account the information that the colonialist and anti-Kurdish Turkish state will resort to such games and provocations, our administration recently announced the extension of the decision to halt all military attacks by the guerrilla until after the May 14 elections that had been taken by our movement after the recent earthquake. Recent developments and the information we have received once again show that this was the right decision to take.
We would therefore like to call on the Iraqi government and the political circles and representatives in South Kurdistan, as well as on all other regional and international powers to take responsibility and preventive measures.”
