Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Southern Kurdistan parliamentarian Arî Hersîn organized a press conference and announced his resignation from the party group.
Arî Hersîn stated that he has founded a new group and severed all his ties with the KDP group “in these challenging days our people are being through”.
No party in the Kurdistan Region can represent the Kurds nor defend their rights at the moment, said the Kurdish parliamentarian and told the followings as to why he has resigned; “I talked to the KDP administration and Barzani but they did not understand me. I will continue to observe the situation of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament. I will continue to do my duty. I will decide on whether or not participating in the next elections accordingly.”
