Kirkuk youth: We will not accept Turkish occupation
Participants of the Youth’s Conference in Kirkuk confirmed that they would stand firmly against all kinds of hostilities and policies against Kurdistan.
Participants of the Youth’s Conference in Kirkuk confirmed that they would stand firmly against all kinds of hostilities and policies against Kurdistan.
Participants of the Youth’s Conference held in the city of Kirkuk, South Kurdistan, said that the Turkish state, especially Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan constantly threatens to occupy Rojava, at a time Turkey attempts to create turbulence between religious beliefs and the people of Kirkuk.
"The current security situation in Kirkuk is very dangerous. Now a Kurdish force or an Iraqi force cannot guarantee security in the region. In the past, all religions lived in peace and security, and the state is trying to create tension in the coexistence in the region through some parties and their media channels,” said Givara Kirkuki.
Kirkuki explained that the enemies of the Kurdish people are trying to sow chaos and crises among the components of the region and that they want to create a conflict between the young people to achieve their goal of occupation.
Authoritarian forces do not want security and stability
"The authoritarian forces are fighting each other for wealth and property and taking over all resources, including culture and art, so they do not want the local forces to administer in the region,” said Mohammed Osman, adding that “Kirkuk matter has become a global problem.”
The occupying states want to create conflicts
Osman explained that in such a situation and in order to stand against these plots, the convening of the Youth’s Conference was very important.
"The youth should rise up and carry out their duties towards their lands with all sincerity and loyalty and not allow the Turkish state to attack and try to occupy the lands of Kirkuk, because the Turkish state is trying to sow tension between the peoples of the region," Osman added.
The youth must organize
"At this time, young men and women can take various measures against the occupation and the policies against the Kurdish people's land. Youth must prepare to face the situation so that they can eliminate this scheme and carry out their tasks to the fullest extent. In the political or military sphere, we have to organize ourselves in order not to allow the enemy to succeed,” said Dildar Khak, another conference participant from Kirkuk.
