KJA  (Free Women’s Congress) Spokeswoman Ayla Akat Ata had been detained during police crackdown on a demonstration held in front of Amed Metropolitan Municipality on October 26 in protest at the detainment of Co-mayors Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı the day before.

Held in custody since, Ata was referred to a court earlier today, and she has been jailed late Sunday evening.
