We have met with political circles, intellectuals and writers, individual persons and all parts of society for this, and we continue to do so. We will be holding a conference for national unity in Southern Kurdistan in the near future. KDP didn’t attend the workshop we held on July 15, but we sent them an invitation for the national unity conference we will hold in the South. After we complete our conferences in all parts, we want to hold a general conference. Through that conference, we want to get to the national congress and realize the longings and hopes of the Kurdish people.
After the KNK delegation statement, KCK Executive Council Co-chair Cemil Bayık said the following:
“KNK is engaged in efforts valuable for the peoples of Kurdistan. I believe the KNK will carry these efforts into success.
There is a great war in the Middle East today, and the Kurds live in the territories of the war. It could perhaps be said that the greatest war is in the Kurdistan lands. If the Kurds don’t want to suffer irreversible blows under the conditions of this great war, they must achieve their national unity and hold the congress. The national unity and national congress is more important for Kurds than air or water. And the KNK is taking strides with this understanding. There are steps to these efforts, and they have carried out the first one successfully. I congratulate them. The KNK is carrying out the second part of the efforts for Kurdish national unity and congress. Yes, there may be some problems, but the KNK has sprung into action to overcome these problems and thus have taken on the Kurdish national unity and national congress as a goal.
“ALL EYES ARE ON KURDS”
As the KCK, we support in every way this effort by the KNK that we see as the effort of the peoples of Kurdistan. The Kurdish issue is not the issue of a single part or one party, it is the issue for all of Kurdish society. The KNK was founded with this purpose, and that is what they are working for. And they have achieved many successes in their efforts, and they continue their work over these successful results. I believe that if they insist on these efforts, they will achieve great success and realize the desire of our people, the desire of history and humanity. All eyes are on this initiative by the KNK and on Kurds. KNK wants to carry these hopes to success without breaking them. And for that they are engaged in a sacred effort. I thank the KNK for these efforts. We as the PKK and the KCK are always at the KNK’s service. We are ready to do whatever is required of us for the unity of the Kurds.”
