KNK: Kurdish forces should act in a national spirit and unity

The Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) released a statement regarding the conflict between the Komala forces in East Kurdistan, saying that the Kurdish forces should act in a national spirit.

Fighting erupted yesterday (June 22) morning between East Kurdistan's Komala Zehmetkêşên Kurdistan and Komela Şoreşgeran forces. As a result of the clashes, two peshmerga fighters lost their lives.

The KNK condemned the fighting between two Kurdish forces and called on the conflicting parties to act in a national spirit and unity. According to the KNK, the use of arms against one another only serves the interests of the occupying forces.

“This incident does not serve the interests of the involved parties, but only the enemies of the Kurds and Kurdistan. The KNK is ready to mobilize for a solution to the problems between the two conflicting parties,” said the statement.
