Kobanê Canton Health Council member Cemal Şêx Bekir announced that the region is running low on medicine stock due to the closure of Sêmalka and Mürşitpınar Border Gates and Kobanê is in urgent need of several medications.
Kobanê Canton Health Council member Cemal Şêx Bekir spoke to ANHA news agency regarding the health policies and the decrease in the medicine stock.
Cemal Şêx Bekir said there was a need for all types of medication in Kobanê and the need for the following medications was in priority: Serums for all illnesses, inflammation reducers, antidotes for scorpion and snake bites, rabies vaccination, medications for diabetes, blood pressure and stomach problems.
Bekir said it had been 3 months since the last shipment of medical supplies arrived in the region due to AKP and KDP closing the Mürşitpınar and Sêmalka Border Gates simultaneously.
Bekir voiced a call to international health organisations for medical supplies for the region.
