KONGRA-GEL Co-Presidency issued a written statement on the AKP ‘immunity coup’ against the HDP supported by the CHP and MHP, and called upon everyone to join the anti-fascist front against Erdoğan’s fascism and help bring Erdoğan to justice. KONGRA-GEL also called upon international actors to play their roles, and emphasized that the only way to stop Erdoğan from reaching his goals is to enhance the struggle against him.

In its statement, KONGRA-GEL described the AKP’s lifting of HPD parliamentarians’ immunities as the silencing of the HDP as fascist Erdoğan implements his dirty war policies aiming to destroy Kurdish people’s free will and all democracy forces in Turkey. KONGRA-GEL noted that Erdoğan would later legalize its de-facto one-man regime, thinking that he could continue to isolate Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and defeat the Kurdish Freedom Movement

KONGRA-GEL stated that Erdoğan fears the inevitable punishment for his crimes, but the lifting of HDP parliamentarians’ immunities would soon hit him hard like a boomerang. The Co-Presidency said that peoples’ revolutionary anger would not allow Erdoğan to establish his authoritarian regime, and called upon everyone to join the anti-fascist front against Erdoğan’s fascism because the only way to stop Erdoğan from reaching his goals is to enhance the struggle against him.

The Co-Presidency noted that everyone that serves Erdoğan should be exposed and brought to justice, and supporting the AKP during the government’s massacres in Kurdistan is both a crime and a sin. KONGRA-GEL called upon the peoples of Kurdistan and Turkey to strengthen the anti-fascist front and make their voices heard across Europe, the Middle East, and the rest of the globe.

Lastly, KONGRA-GEL called upon international actors such as the UN to play their roles and help bring Erdoğan to justice because Kurdish people’s victory against fascism would also be a victory for humanity.
