Kurdistan Freedom Militia target police station in Batman

Kurdistan Freedom Militia (MAK) reported that they targeted the police station in Batman with improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and Molotov cocktails on 4 April, the birthday of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The Kurdistan Freedom Militia (MAK, Milîsên Azadiya Kurdistan) said in a written statement on Thursday that they targeted the police station in İpragaz neighbourhood of Batman around 01.00 on the night of 4 April.

The statement said: "During the attack, an IED thrown by our militia to the police station hit the armoured vehicle in the front area and damaged it. The fascist police officers inside the vehicle were scared and tried to escape into the police station. Our militia successfully reached their place after the action."

The lifting of the isolation on Rêber Apo (Leader Abdullah Öcalan) and his freedom is on the shoulders of all MAK forces", said the statement and added: "On this occasion, we consider the birth of Rêber Apo as the rebirth of the people of Kurdistan. We salute the will of millions of Kurds who unite themselves with his ideas, ideology and philosophy."
