Turkish aircraft continue bombarding Mount Asos located on the border between Rojhilat (Eastern) and Bashur (Southern) Kurdistan. During the strikes at the night of November 27, on the 40th anniversary of the PKK, three guerrillas of the Eastern Kurdistan Defense Units (YRK) fell as martyrs.
The latest aerial bombardment was carried out yesterday, December 3rd, when two Turkish warplanes fired 12 bombs on the mountain.
People living in the village of Gelale on the skirts of Mount Asos state that they are tired of Turkey’s aerial bombardments that heavily damage their fields, vineyards and orchards.
A villager by the name of Selih Hîdayet called for an immediate end to the attacks of the Turkish state that cause great harm to the local people who make a living from honey, grape, vineyard and orchard works.
A nine years old kid from the Gelale village said the following; “The sound of bombs was very loud when Turkish warplanes carried out strikes. I was outside while they shelled here and I was scared, very much. I want the attacks to end.”
Residents of the Gelale village also criticize the Southern Kurdistan government that remains silent although the Turkish state shelled their village, surroundings and Mount Asos three times during the month of November.
