Manbij Civil Council calls for international action against Turkish attacks

Manbij Civil Council called on international organizations to raise their voice against the Turkish state's massacre in Rojava land, pledging to take no step back in the face of attacks.

Manbij Civil Council released a statement regarding the massacre committed by Turkish forces in the Erîma town to the west of Manbij yesterday, which left 3 civilians dead and 15 others wounded.

Salih Mihemed on behalf of the Council read the press statement on the massacre.

Mihemed stressed that the international and neighboring states that derive benefits from Syria are attacking the peoples' will for co-existence, saying: "With their attacks, they want to create a conflict among the peoples. The occupant Turkish state is perpetrating massacres on a daily basis under the guise of 'fight against terror'. Everyone is, however, silent on this.

Our people are forming their own institutions and governing themselves by resisting and organizing. People have an active role in the administration on a political and democratic basis. We will take no step back against the reckless attacks of any force because every person martyred for the freedom of peoples strengthens our loyalty to our land and enhances our defense force."

Mihemed condemned the Turkish state's attacks on Manbij and called on international human rights organizations to not remain silent on the Turkish state's massacres and attacks in Northern Syria.
