Manbij Military Assembly: We will liberate everyone from ISIS cruelty

Manbij Military Assembly member Muhammed Ebu Adil stated that every village of Manbij has been liberated from ISIS gangs, and the assembly aimed to liberate everyone from ISIS cruelty no matter what their language, religion or race are.

Manbij Military Assembly entered an important phase of ‘Operation Liberate Manbij’ supported by the SDF, as they completed the encirclement of the city center. Manbij Military Assembly member and Shems Al Shemal commander Muhammed Ebu Adil stated that people of Manbij make up the forces that are fighting ISIS to liberate the city.

'WE HAVE MADE IMPORTANT PROGRESS'

Adil stated that the requests of Manbij residents that have been living under ISIS cruelty for two and a half years forced the assembly to launch the operation, and emphasized the support of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the international coalition. Adil noted that the assembly made important progress since June 1, liberated all of Manbij’s villages, and was not ready to enter the city center.

'WE PRIORITIZE THE HEALTH AND SECURITY OF CIVILIANS’

Adil said that they have strengthened their siege of Manbij city center, and prioritize the health and security of the nearly 40-50 thousand civilians trapped in Manbij. Adil called upon civilians to seek refuge in areas liberated by Manbij Military Assembly, and said that the residents of recently liberated villages have returned to their homes.

‘NO FEAR OF ISIS IN LIBERATED VILLAGES'

Adil noted that hundreds of civilians have been behaded by ISIS so far, but there is no fear of ISIS in liberated villages. Adil emphasized that assembly forces aimed to liberate everyone from ISIS cruelty no matter what their language, religion or race are.

Lastly, Muhammed Ebu Adil stated that people of Manbij make up the forces that are fighting ISIS to liberate the city, and assembly forces were doing everything to improve administrative, economic and social life in and around Manbij without intervening in the lives of the civilians in the region.
