Manbij Military Council reported that fierce clashes were taking place on 3 fronts of the city, stressing that: “Shoulder to shoulder with the people of Manbij, we will repel these attacks.”
The Press Centre of the Manbij Military Council made a written statement regarding the escalated attacks by the Turkish state and affiliated gangs.
The statement pointed out that the Turkish occupation-backed mercenaries with Turkish occupation aerial support have launched dozens of attacks on the Manbij region and its countryside for the past twelve days.
“Despite these persistent attacks, the valiant fighters of the Manbij and Al-Bab Military Councils have successfully repelled every incursion," it added.
The statement said: “In the past two days, the mercenaries have intensified their attacks on all fronts of Manbij, where fierce clashes are ongoing across multiple fronts, including Tokhar, Aoun Dadat, Arab Hassan, and Al-Arima.
This afternoon, a convoy of mercenary vehicles, backed by Turkish air support and armored vehicles, attempted to advance on the southern entrance to Manbij City. Our forces, anticipating this move, laid a deadly ambush, inflicting significant casualties on them. In a desperate attempt to sow fear and chaos, some mercenary cells infiltrated the city. However, our forces are engaged in intense clashes with these infiltrators at the city’s entrance.
The Manbij Military Council, having made thousands of sacrifices to liberate this region from the clutches of ISIS and other terrorist organizations, remains unwavering in its commitment to defend Manbij. We are confident that our brave fighters, together with the unwavering support of the people of Manbij, will ultimately counter this latest threat.
