On Tuesday, the anti-terror units of the Turkish police stormed numerous houses in three districts of the Şırnak province and carried out detentions without stating reasons.
The village of Cûdî in Cizre district, the village of Hespist in Idil district and the village of Bana in Güçlükonak district were affected by the operation in the morning hours.
According to reports, many people were taken into custody during the operation and taken to the respective district police headquarters. Lawyers have not yet been allowed access to the detainees.
