HPG Press Office released a written statement about the ongoing Turkish army operation and clashes in Çukurca district of Hakkari.

According to the statement, heavy clashes are taking place between soldiers and guerrillas around the Martyr Cihat Hill near the Ertuş Castle.

At 06:00 this morning, guerrillas carried out an action targeting the soldiers deployed around Martyr Cihat Hill. Many emplacements of the soldiers were taken away and a number of soldiers were killed. Bodies of these and their arms remain under the control of guerrillas.

Violent clashes continue around the Ertuş Castle with Turkish army using advanced technical means in the fighting against guerrillas.
