HPG guerrillas targeted the Turkish troops participating in an operation in Çukurca district of Hakkari. While Turkish sources report only 4 soldiers dead, local sources report the number of casualties to be much higher.

HPG has not made a statement on the fighting in this area yet.

In the meantime, at least 2 soldiers, including one specialist sergeant, were killed in a clash in Genç district of Bingöl.

On the other hand, two soldiers that had gotten wounded as a result of a guerrilla action in Mardin's Derik district the day before, have also died.
