Many soldiers killed in guerrilla action in Uludere
Guerrillas conducted an action targeting the Turkish soldiers joining a military operation in the countryside of Şırnak's Uludere district.
According to Turkish media reports, at least five soldiers were killed and eight others were wounded in the action by guerrillas.
Local sources on the other hand report that many more soldiers have been killed in the action. Accordingly, several ambulances were sent to the scene and the dead and wounded soldiers were retrieved with Sikorsky helicopters.
