Former DBP Party Assembly member, Bakur Kurdistan political immigrant Hüseyin Arasan was seriously injured in an armed attack in front of the office of the Mesopotamia Workers' Association in Sulaymaniyah on 9 June 2023.

Arasan fell a martyr on 10 June in the hospital for the serious injuries he sustained.

According to Rojnews, the body of Martyr Hüseyin Arasan was taken from the forensic morgue this morning and reached the Ahmedi Hacı Ali Mosque in Sulaymaniyah.

He will be buried in the Mehmet Karasungur Martyrs' Cemetery in Qandil after speeches in the mosque. Dozens of vehicles and hundreds of citizens accompanied the funeral procession.
