A commemoration of the victims of the ISIS genocide in Shengal was held at Martyr Rüstem Cudi (Maxmur) Refugee Camp.

Many people attended the commemoration held at the Association of Martyr Families.

After a minute of silence for the martyrs, a press statement was read by Barış Korkmaz, a member of the Action Committee, on behalf of the people of the camp.

Korkmaz stated that the invaders aimed at "eliminating the roots of the Kurdish people through the massacre against the Yazidis A people who organize and has a strong will certainly will carry out a great struggle ”.

Korkmaz continued: "Despite all the attacks, the Yazidi people stood up and frustrated the plans of the invaders with their own defense. We are protesting the attacks and massacres against the Yazidi people and we stand beside them”.
