Turkish troops have launched a military operation in the countryside of Dibek (Dêrxust) village in Amed’s Lice district Tuesday morning.

A large number of soldiers are participating in the operation and Cobra type helicopters have started to shell the area. Reports suggest that fighting erupted in the operation zone and fire started in a forested land.

During the past 10 days, the Turkish army has set fire to several forested areas in Lice countryside.
