This morning Turkish military launched a large scale operation in the rural areas of Amed’s Silvan district. The operation grounds was raked by a helicopter and reports say villagers are walking to the operation area to act as human shields.

Turkish military has started an operation in the rural areas of Heciçerkez, Dêrikamiqûre, Mistika, Sitêniye and Xapa villages earlier today. The village guards are reportedly taking part in the operation where soldiers utilize armored vehicles. Local sources say a widespread clash erupted after the beginning of the operation in the morning. While the mountainous area of the operation zone was raked by helicopters, reports say there were big explosions and the area was being shelled as well.

Many citizens are reportedly on the move to get to the clash area to act as human shields.
