Military operations in Silvan and Lice
Turkish forces have launched an operation in the Silvan district of Amed, and are reportedly laying an ambush in the corn fields. The military operation has continued for two days in Lice.
Reports say a military operation was launched in the Avagerm area of Amed’s Silvan district four days ago.
A 30 soldier group in the operation grounds are laying an ambush in guerrilla uniforms.
The operation has Sorik, Reshika and Sheikh Davut neighborhoods surrounded as part of the operation.
Soldiers are in the corn fields in camouflage. There are no military vehicles near the ambush grounds.
OPERATION IN LICE CONTINUES
The military operation launched yesterday morning in parallel in the Yunluce (Kormik), Baharlar (Barav) and Kilicli (Mizag) neighborhoods in Lice’s rural areas continues on its second day.
The operation was extended to include the Gokce neighborhood, between the Lice and Hani districts. Police and soldiers have set up checkpoints along the roads leadig to the neighborhoods. Residents trying to go to their neighborhoods are stopped and checked for IDs by Turkish forces and their vehicles are recorded.
