Shops remained closed in most Kurdish cities in Eastern Kurdistan as tensions rise over the killing of two Kurdish kolbers in the city of Bane on September 4.
Iranian state deployed thousands of soldiers in East Kurdistan to prevent a popular uprising, especially to Bane and Merivan, two most populous cities of Sine state.
Sources in Bane said the government building is now protected by heavily equipped Iranian soldiers. The military garrison, where soldiers who killed Kurdish kolbers are based is also surrounded by soldiers and policemen.
The shops are closed in Bane and no cars run on the streets as a part of civil disobedience protest.
In Meriwan the security situation remains tight as of Wednesday morning. Some residents report one Iranian soldier standing in every 10 meters of main streets of the city.
Shops in Merivan are also closed and only military vehicles are seen on the streets.
Iranian state also cut off internet in most cities of Sine state.
