Syrian Democratic Council stated that the Turkish state attacked Rojava and Shengal to cripple the Raqqa operation and help ISIS gangs draw a breath.
Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) released a written statement regarding the invading Turkish state's simultaneous attacks on Rojava and Shengal, saying the followings;
“During the ongoing Operation Wrath of Euphrates, our forces are achieving victories against the gangs and continue making advances. In response to this, Turkish warplanes conducted an attack on the positions of our forces on the back front in Karachok, and Shengal. These attacks reveal the Turkish state's evident goal to cripple the Raqqa operation and help ISIS gangs draw a breath.
We as Syrian Democratic Council condemn these attacks in the strongest terms. We call on international community to show response to these attacks, and we call on all our peoples in Syria to oppose the Turkish state's attacks. Our fight against terror and its supporters will continue influentially.”
