HPG said the following about the fallen fighters: "Brûsk, Botan and Rohat came from different regions of Kurdistan and all three grew up in a patriotic environment. They joined the guerrilla because they were aware of the methods of the Turkish state to assimilate and annihilate the Kurdish people and they saw the only possibility for liberation in the armed struggle and in the philosophy of Rêber Apo [Leader Abdullah Öcalan]. In their guerrilla life, they have always shown a sacrificial attitude and made great efforts to implement the new perspective of the guerrilla. When the misanthropic ISIS attacked Kirkuk and Maxmur, they defended the region with an unshakable will and thus won the hearts of the people. They have fought on the front line even in the current period when the Turkish occupying state is increasing its attacks."
The HPG expressed their sympathy to the relatives of the martyrs and patriotic people of Kurdistan and renewed their promise to continue the struggle of the martyrs.
