Newroz's enthusiasm prevails in the guerrilla's wireless speeches. The guerrillas celebrating Newroz frequently chant "Bijî Serok Apo", Bijî Newroz". The slogans are both in Kurdish and in Arabic. The enthusiasm of Newroz and slogans come from a few hills taken by the guerrilla.
