FAMILIES: “WE ARE WORRIED”

Families of Zanyar and Luqman Muradi have been waiting in front of the prison gates since 03.00 this morning.

They said, “The prison officials did not give us any information to date. They are toying with us. One minute they say Zanyar and Luqman have been executed, then turn and say they haven’t. So we are completely uneasy and worried.”

LAWYER NIKBEXT: “WE DON’T KNOW WHERE THEY WERE TAKEN”

Zanyar and Luqman Muradi’s lawyer Salih Nikbext said the Iranian regime didn’t allow him to meet with his clients on Friday and added: “We don’t know where they were taken. Both my clients were expecting a positive outcome in the case. As their lawyer, I haven’t been told where they were taken. It is impossible for me to see my clients without a court order. And there is no way that order can come out now.

The case must be closed first, but it hasn’t been. We must protect these two young men. I have concerns about where they were taken and for what.”
