All the democratic autonomy institutions, civil society organisations, political parties, women's and youth's movements in Kobanê Canton made a joint statement to the press to greet the rallies to be held worldwide tomorrow, November 1 World Kobanê Day.

The press statement on Hill Mishtenur was read by Kobanê Canton Social Affairs Council President Shervan Muslim following one minute's silence in memory of Kobanê martyrs. The press statement said;

"Greetings from Kobanê, the town of martyrs. As the people of Kobanê, we express our gratitude to you for embracing the historic Kobanê resistance and our martyrs with honour. From the heart of Kobanê, we greet you with warmest feelings.

In the person of comrades Rojhat, Paramaz Kızılbaş and Sarya, we pay tribute to all YPG/YPJ martyrs and bow respectfully before their memories.

The martyrs are our present, future, honour and most sacred value, and the source of our free and common living. For this very reason, Kobanê belongs to not only Kobanê people but all the world, all you the dignified people that own it. The historic bravery and resistance mounted in Kobanê under the leadership of our freedom fighters is for not only Kobanê but also all the humanity for being a fight that defends the honour and values of humanity.

With your hearts beating for Kobanê, you have provided continuous support and stood up everywhere all around the world to give strength and morale to the combatants that fought in the battlefield. Those combatants waged a battle day-and-night against the most barbarian gang group in the world and their heavy weapons with a steely-will for freedom, and waved the flag of resistance of humanity with dignity.

The worldwide rallies you staged and the worldwide support you gave on November 1 last year became a part of the strength and commitment of YPG/YPJ forces, and enabled the Kobanê resistance to gain a victory.

We believe you will keep providing support and fulfill your duty, join the beautification and reconstruction of Kobanê in the same way and feeling you stood up and marched for the victory and freedom of Kobanê.

Let's once again become one single heart and body, and act under the common slogan "Everything for the reconstruction of Kobanê".

Let's manifest the same determination and stand up against the threats uttered by AKP, Erdoğan and Davutoğlu.
