A civilian by the name of Deniz Gökay was heavily wounded as soldiers shot at his car on its way to Kibabîk (Esenkoç) neighborhood in Muradiye (Bêgirî) district of Van last night.

Soldiers at Akbulak Gendarmerie Station opened crossfire on Gökay's car, which left him seriously wounded by bullets hitting him in various parts of his body.

Following an immediate treatment at Muradiye State Hospital, the civilian was referred to Van Regional Training and Research Hospital.
