In Cizre district of Şırnak where a state of siege continues for 44 days now, heavy artillery aggression by tanks and armored vehicles against Cudi neighborhood is going on uninterruptedly.

HDP Şırnak deputy Faysal Sarıyıldız, who is near the people in Cizre since the beginning of the most recent curfew, said on his Twitter account that the ongoing offensive on Cudi neighborhood has killed yet another youth by the name of Selim Turay.

On the other hand, the building where 24 wounded and 4 slain people remain trapped in a basement, also remains under fire by state forces.

Rohat Aktaş, editor of Kurdish daily Azadiya Welat, who is among those stuck in the basement, told the followings; “The building is still under bombardment in an effort of total demolition. 4 people here have died of wounds that we couldn't dress. There is no electricity, no water. They want to kill us in mass and they are not allowing the people to come here. Humanity is being massacred here. Kurdish people must rise up.”
