HPG guerrillas carried out an action against the military unit coordinating the operation held by the Turkish army in Şemdinli. The operation coordination and 2 soldiers were killed while 3 soldiers were wounded.
The operation the Turkish army launched in Hakkari’s Şemdinli district on August 8 continues. The HPG guerrillas carried out an action last night against the operation coordination positioned in Şemdinli’s Bote area.
According to information obtained by the ANF from local sources, the guerrillas infiltrated the operation headquarters in the Bote area. 3 soldiers were killed and 3 others were wounded in the action, including the operation coordination.
The casualties were taken away from the area by helicopter late in the night. The aerial activity in the area reportedly continues.
Meanwhile, another guerrilla group carried out an action in the Çarçella area in Hakkari’s Gever district. There is no concrete information on the outcome of the action.
