In the autonomous region of Southern Kurdistan (Northern Iraq), at least 1207 people have died after infection with the coronavirus.

According to the regional government's Ministry of Health, a further 21 people died within 24 hours. In addition, 574 new infections were recorded within one day: 336 cases in Duhok, 121 more in Hewlêr (Erbil), 68 in Sulaymaniyah, 28 in Halabja and 21 cases in the Germiyan region. The number of confirmed infections thus rose to 32,210. According to authorities, 20,492 patients have recovered so far.
