PADÊ and Shengal Autonomous Administration candidate Kesko wins seat in Mosul Assembly

According to the statement published by the Iraqi Supreme Electoral Board, PADÊ and Shengal Autonomous Administration candidate Kasım Kesko won a seat in the Mosul Assembly after the recent the elections.

The results of the provincial council elections held on 18 December in Iraq have been announced. According to the statement made by the commission, 41 percent of the 15 million 108 thousand 135 voters went to the polls. The PUK became the first party in the Kirkuk provincial council elections with the Kirkuk is Our Power and Will alliance.

Another interesting city in those elections was Shengal. The people of Shengal cast their votes for the Nineveh/Mosul assembly.

The Yazidi Freedom and Democracy Party (PADÊ) had established the Nineveh Peoples Unity Alliance together with some parties, including the PUK.

PADÊ had 4 candidates within the scope of the elections. It was reported that one of the candidates, Qasim Keşko, won a seat in the Mosul Assembly.
