PADÊ: Freedom fighters frustrated the plans on Shengal
Freedom and Democracy Party of Êzidîs (PADÊ) described 3 August as “day of disgrace” for the forces that opened the way for the mass killings by ISIS.
Freedom and Democracy Party of Êzidîs (PADÊ) described 3 August as “day of disgrace” for the forces that opened the way for the mass killings by ISIS.
Freedom and Democracy Party of Êzidîs (PADÊ) issued a written statement on the occasion of the 3rd August Shengal genocide anniversary and said the following:
"The Êzidî people live all 366 days of the year over again anniversaries of massacre decrees enacted upon them. Because the Êzidîs are the most ancient people of the Middle East and Mesopotamia, many forces strived to obliterate this community along with their history. But all the attacks of the enemies notwithstanding, the Êzidî community kept mounting every time great resistance."
“OUR PEOPLE WERE SUBJECT TO REPEATED MASSACRES WITH THE RISE OF ISLAM”
PADÊ continued, reminding of the origins of the massacre decrees which began with the Ottoman rule: "The massacre decrees took their beginning with the emergence of the Ottoman rule. The Êzidîxan [Land of Êzidîs] was subject to such massacres throughout the last 1400 years along with the rise of Islam, under different names and in changing colours.
After Saddam's regime was toppled, the different societies drifted apart and dirty bargains on the Êzidî community came to the fore. It is a well-known fact by now, that those who allegedly came to protect the Êzidî community, intrigued with the enemy and started schemes with bomb attacks in Siba and Girzere. These were their initial plans to destroy and annihilate the Êzidî community."
“ÊZIDÎS WERE OBSTRUCTED FROM PROTECTING THEMSELVES”
As to how the ISIS gangs were able to invade the Êzidîxan in 2014’s August, PADÊ said the following: "After ISIS came and occupied whole of Mosul, to which Shengal is geographically linked, the Êzidî people wanted to protect themselves on their own. But unfortunately, the KDP Peshmerga and the Federal Government didn't provide any possibilities for the Êzidî people to organise themselves and to serve their physical defense."
“KDP DID NOT FIRE ONE SINGLE BULLET”
Regarding the stance of the KDP in the face of the ISIS gangs' invasion, PADÊ made the following comment: "On 3 August 2014, when the ISIS gangs were launching their attacks on the Êzidî community, the forces of KDP did not fire even one bullet at the ISIS gangs, but left the Êzidîs to genocide by leaving them in the hands of ISIS. Without fighting or resisting, they handed the Êzidî community over to ISIS."
“FREEDOM FIGHTERS FRUSTRATED THE PLANS OF KDP AND ITS ACCOMPLICES”
The statement pointed out that the intervention of the freedom fighters foiled the plans of the KDP and its accomplices, saying that: "The intervention of the freedom fighters rendered all the plans of the KDP and its accomplices void, and caused them a huge political blowback. Unfortunately even though the Êzidî people were massacred by thousands, taken hostage and sold at markets by thousands, and dozens of mass graves were discovered, - still - some of those mass graves were burned by those forces to prevent this calamity from being recognized as a genocide."
The Freedom and Democracy Party of Êzidîs ended its statement as follows:
" We, as the PADÊ, promise our Êzidî people that we will never deviate from their side. We will take on anything that is expected from us as our duty. In order to win official recognition for the right to freedom and the status of genocide, we will fulfil any task entrusted to us.
All our efforts will be concentrating on frustrating the plans of those who perpetrated the genocide, and to bring them to court. On the occasion of this day, we salute to the resistance of the Êzidî people, and condemn the disgraceful forces which opened the way for the mass killings by ISIS. The 3rd of August is the day of disgrace on those forces."
