Participants of ‘Human Shield’ action visit Qandil residents

Participants of the ‘Human Shield’ action launched by Kurdish youth from southern Kurdistan in Qandil, have visited people in villages of Qandil on occasion of the Eid on Friday.

A group from southern Kurdistan, northern Iraq launched human shield action on June 8 in Binare area of Qandil against the invasion of Qandil.

The human shield action -launched under the lead of the Patriotic Youth Movement and the Young Women’s Movement- has left one week behind. During this period, participants of the action received visits from various parts of the region.

The human shield participants have visited people in several villages of Qandil early this morning on occasion of Eid Al-Fitr (religious holiday which marks the end of Ramadan month).

Welcomed by local people with open arms, the young people told the people about the goal of their action.

On the first day of Eid, people from Northern Kurdistan who live in the South have taken off from Sulaymaniyah to visit the human shield action in Qandil against the Turkish state’s invasion attacks.
