A large number of local people and HDP deputies leaving from Şırnak have reached the Mount Cudi where an operation by the Turkish army is going on.
Despite all the hindrances by Turkish soldiers, civilians and deputies have arrived the operation area where they will act as human shields to hinder probable clashes and deaths.
HDP Mardin deputies Mehmet Ali Aslan and Enise Güneyli and Şırnak deputy Ferhat Encü are among the crowd that reached the Gunde Spîndirok area in the foothills of Mount Cudi after taking a way out of military blockade through a mountainous area.
HDP Şırnak MP Ferhat Encü told that; “We are now at the martyrs' cemetery which was also targeted by mortar fire but didn't suffer a major damage. The military operation is going on. Soldiers have been deployed across the martyrs' cemetery and we have been hearing sounds of arms till half an hour ago.”
Encü stated that they will remain in the area as human shields until the military operation is ended.
