People and peshmergas call Kirkuk’s people to guerrilla positions
People of Kirkuk and former peshmergas who joined HPG-YJA Star guerrillas in Kirkuk called upon the people to take their place in the defence of Kirkuk in the guerrillas’ positions.
In Kirkuk, the people, guerrillas and peshmerga forces began to take up positions throughout the city. The residents protested against some peshmergas who wanted to leave the city and burned down the vehicles of these peshmergas.
After HPG’s call on the Kurdish people to join the defense of Kirkuk thousands of volunteers have joined guerrillas in their positions in central Kirkuk.
Speaking on behalf of volunteer residents, Ethem Kak Remazan said: “Today is the day to defend Kirkuk. We call upon the people of Kirkuk to join guerrillas in the positions. We won’t leave Kirkuk and we won’t give it to anybody.”
PESMERGHAS IN GUERRILLA POSITIONS
Several former peshmergas have also joined forces with guerrillas in the city. Enver Said, one of the peshmergas, called on all residents on Kirkuk to take their place on the line of defense set up by the guerrillas.
“We won’t leave Kirkuk under any circumstance and we will defend our city” he underlined.
